Titled “Foreign Merchant House”, Japanese Edu period artist, Sadahide Utagawa, gave us a historical glimpse into a Western gone Eastern business encounter during the 19th Century transformative era. We’re presented an architecturally European merchant house against a classically Japanese landscape, capturing tough negotiation around the far side table without losing any stylised 1865 charm.
Originally produced using an inked woodblock printing method, these Wilde Penny Loafers feature a digitally printed design across the vamp instead.
