The University of Nebraska-Kearney is a campus of the public University of Nebraska system located in Kearney, Nebraska, and is home to over 6,000 students annually. Founded in 1905 as the Nebraska State Normal School at Kearney, the university then became Kearney State College and was referred to as "K-State" by students and alumni before its affiliation with the University of Nebraska.
